I am referring to the cost of an ENTIRE front seat; i suggest you call your dealership and see what they say: just ask to be quoted the price for 1 complete front seat for a 500E.

(then, please post your findings)

Scott when you priced the seats were you referring to just the leather covers or the complete seat assembly including the pads, buttons, plastic, coils etc?

I was thinking of changing my drivers side seat back in a couple of years and didn't think cost would be nearly that high.

You can purchase just the cover for the seat. Purchasing the whole seat is not necessary.

No I haven't price seat covers from the dealer as of yet.

PAD offers the following MB-Tex and Leather Seating Upholstery.

Front Seat Cover, Leather $475 each
Front Seat Cover, MB-Tex $275 each
Rear Seat Cover, Leather $$850 each
Rear Seat Cover, MB-Tex $650 each
Head Rest Cover $67.50 each
Arm Rest Cover $79.95 each
