no problem ,Yury!

I was only kidding - no hard feelings!

I am in the market for a new rear apron/valence/air-dam/bumper; would you be so kind as to post close-up pictures of yours (especially from worms-eye view)?

I really like yours and I would like to see how it looks from all angles, and how it fits/bolts-up.

Kind regards,

the early worm gets the bird

worm's eye view = from the surface of the earth, looking up

bird's-eys view = from above, looking down

Hey Yury

Hey Yury hows it going? Do you still have your original front bumper off your E420? I remember contacting you about buying it. I should of contacted you last weekend since I was in Brooklyn for a few days. I might be going down again soon, maybe you can P.M. me where your located and your phone number.

BTW, your car looks awesome!! I eventually want to get the kit for mine, but am unsure if I should get the old school kit or the updated one you have. For now, though, I am just looking for a replacement for my old, battered, curb bashed spoiler .
In the spring, Im getting all my plastic painted black to match the rest of the car. That should be a drastic improvement in itself.

Hope to hear from you soon.

-Andy

Simply Gorgeous! I LOVE that front end! Is the front bumper cover plastic or fiberglass? How much? Where did you get it?

"I bougt this kit from Signature Line, they are in CA. They ordered it form Germany and it took about 2 months to get it here in NYC.
The kit is a genuine (polyurathane) AMG, it has all the AMG part numbers, logos, etc. Speaking to my shop after they installed it, they said it was a breeze to install, everything matched up properly and there were no fitment problems. As far as $$$, I payed more than your quote from NR auto, if I remmember correctly I checked with them and for some reason I wasn't sure it was going to an original kit. So I wound up paying more but I have no doubts that the kit is real and quality is very good to excelent, very flexible material. I'm not sure about my offset, but it's what tire rack recomends. I got the rims from them 16 by 7.5, 205, 55. If streets in NYC were better I would not think twice and would lower my ride in a second, put some 18's on and it would look even more agresive. I have a REMUS exhaust installed i will post pics soon, it gives it that look that is missing on the pics right now"
if anyone is interested in calling Nick @sig line he is a nice guy to deal with 800 346 3040. Tell him you spoke to me and ask him for a deal, he is cool and you can talk to him.

Yury, sorry for not paying closer attention! Thanks for the info anyhow. I too would love to go with 18" rims - they look wicked! There are a couple of W124s on my side of town with 18"ers. Our roads out here (West Hollywood) aren't so good either though I'm sure not nearly as bad as where you are.

E420 AMG- NICE!!!!!

That's very tasteful work you've done there!! Have you ever thought about a duck tail spoiler on the back of the car? I know that some people have mixed reviews on it, but I bet that would really set it off with that all white paint scheme you have goin there. GREAT WORK!!!

Travmonster,
I thought about doing the duckspoiler for a while, then I decided not to because I realized it would take alot of $$$ and a true profesional bady shop to do it the way i would want it. If you look at Scott's E500 there is great example of awesome work = $$$.

Thanks,
Yury

Will soon post pics of the Remus and detailed shots of the rear bumper.

Smoooooth duck tail.....

I saw that on the silver 500e where it was worked into the actual body's sheetmetal. Smoooth work there, REALLY creative. First time I actually saw that done and I was blown away by it! I don't blame you for waiting to get that done, because that would be sweet- like they say, anything worth doing is worth doing right!!

Thank you E Dream,
I'm thinking of painting the inside of the grill white, but not the chrome strips which should make it look more sporty I think.

Regards,
YO

Yury: you need to celebrate with a re-badging on the trunk lid to E40 AMG.
