West Track Day At Willow Springs!
I don't know about anyone else but I've been itching to get my car out on a track to see what it can really do. I can't stand the fact that I have a car capable of 155MPH that has to settle for 100MPH if she's lucky.
Sooooo.....what does everyone think about having a track day at Willow Springs. I've checked the rates and they are $1250 for a 1/2 Day on a weekday. This is for their 2.5 Mile Road Course if anyone is curious. The track would be closed off for us and we can run our stock cars. I believe we'll need helmets, and will have to tape off the cars. If enough people are interested and one other person is willing to assist me with planning then maybe we can plan something for Late January or February. So are there any takers on the left coast interested in playing on a track!

Hey Afshin, sounds like fun, Willow Springs is a great testing track, but you won't see top speed there. Too many turns!
I like the north bound Interstate 15 from Lake Street, to just a little past "Tom's Farms" then lift off the gas. You will have had a good 150+ mph run over a few miles, in just a couple of minutes, when you slow down you will be suprised to see the Corona exit's. It's Free, and close to home. Just find the right time of day, or night, with little, or no traffic, and go for it! Fast happens, Fast! If you don't have a lot of experiance at speed, just try a little at a time, it's not for everyone, so be careful out there. BTW, I hit over 110mph on the south bound conector from the 405 to the 73 Toll Road in my 124 Coupe in just a few seconds this afternoon, It was fun, conditions good.......PaPow....It only takes a few seconds.......Stand on it....then let off. Same as the track! Happy Holiday
