I did a few Gtech runs last night here are the results (in numerical order)
0-60..................................1/4 mile 5.87 (no room for 1/4) 5.92 (no room for 1/4) 5.92 (no room for 1/4) 6.02 .................................14.48 @ 103.9 mph ........................................14.59 @ 101.6 mph 6.14 .................................14.60 @ 102.7 mph ........................................14.62 @ 101.6 mph Average 0-60............5.97 Average 1/4 mile.....14.57 I think I can improve on these times, because this was my first time out, and I had about 100 lbs of extra weight in the car. Subman Edit: My stock numbers at a track were a best of 14.8 and a constant of about 15.2 If you look at the 0-60 times and compare the ones with the 1/4 and with out you will see my best 1/4 had a 0-60 that was .15 slower then my best 0-60 (without a 1/4). So I feel that I can improve apon these numbers.

That is telling! The very good 0-60 time and not-quite-as good (though excellent) quarter mile show the W124's weakness as the speedo wraps: drag. But, check the trap speeds! Youch! Our C36 would run a bit lower ET, but could just reach 100mph. I wonder if 275hp is on the conservative side for the 4.2L M119?
Those numbers are right on top of the E500. Traction and driver skill, combined with willingness to abuse the hardware, would probably win the day. of course, on the track the E500's suspension and brakes would leave the E420 sitting in the pits with it's rotors fried...

Wow-that's pretty quick! Nicely done! What was the ambient temperature & humidity? HUGE factors when it comes to straight-line acceleration...if you want to assuredly improve your times, do it on a cold & dry day/night and I bet you'll drop a few tenths.
Now, get thee to a track & see what she'll really do! Gtechs, I find, are nice and repeatable (read: consistent) but a bit optimistic - I once pulled a 13.38 @ 112MPH, and a 0-60 of 5.08!! Not trying to burst any bubbles, folks, just trying to keep it real

S60,
There is no part # for it. It is simply called an "Electronic Ratio Adapter" manufactured in USA by ABBOTT ENTERPRISES, INC. Their phone number is 1-800-643-5973. You can see this product here on the web: http://www.abbott-tach.com/era.htm Hope this helps. BTW, it is user programmed using a series of dip switches and can be pretty much set to any ratio you can think of. -Andy

Subman- Thanks for the posts. The times for the 0-60 and 1/4 miles are really great. With G-tech my car did 0-60 in 6.4 average.
I didn't know humidity had that much to do with it. My times were taken in the San Fernando Valley in the middle of summer with temps (I'm guessing) in the mid 90's. Might be quicker now that the temps are in the 60's. It's addictive! Craig

Yes, the temps were less then 90 about 45 and I got the best 0-60 on my very first run!!!
I hope to do some more testing soon I may even go to the track and see what the Gtech does there. ( but it is kind of far) Subman

No. There's no other bolt-on 3.07 for the W124 V8.
