Great car, I'm sure, but I'm really glad I own a 500E of any vintage! I'm jazzed every time I get in my car. I don't have car envy (of course, there are a zillion other cars I'd like to have), because I bought the car I really wanted, instead of compromising.

It'll cost around a grand to ship...maybe even a bit less if your can get the car closer to a more westerly european port. A friend of mine is shipping his Scirocco to England to drive europe later this summer...he's paying $800 from NYC.

What a great price on that LTD...someones gonna get a great deal for sure.

You know I just noticed that even with the 6-liter conversion, AMG doesn't add a rear spoiler to the car!!

I wonder if their tests show that rear downforce is not needed?

Yes, around $1000 to ship to NYC from the Netherlands. It'll have to be federalised though...more money...but surely not unreasonable...in the grand scheme of things. There are a couple of outfits on the East Coast that will do all this.

I don't want to speak prematurely but this car MAY have a real good chance to come to the states... !!! Imagine that

You cannot Federalize a car for less than about $8,000, usually more like 10. Also, almost every European car has beeen smoked in. Not even smokers in CA want a car that's been smoked in.

Tom...were you smoking something when you wrote that last comment? !! It doesn't cost even close to that much... Granted , it'll be more to ship a car from western europe to the west coast of the US...but no way it cost that much. If anyone believes those numbers...I'll import a car and federalise it for you.

Most all used cars have been farted in too...but that shouldn't stop one from buying one...especially on a 1 of 12 only car as rare as this.

Tommy Boy...you send me some of that stuff you are smoking, OK?

From what I know and what I've tried...It cost anywhere from 5K-10K to ship a car from that location to the sates...
