Question E320 i hope to get an answer !!!!!

hi there. i have a 1995 w124 E320 with automatoc transmition. when i push the acceleration pedal to the end the car shifts 1 gear down(some people call it kick-down) and go like a bullet i like that feeling and performance of the car, but i want to know whether this affect the engine or transmition in a bad way or not.

Using the Kick down will not cause any damages or harm the engine/transmission unless you did it excessively.
The kick down function stress the engine/transmission to it's limit so abusive use will certainly have , on the long run, some negative effect on the longevity of the components.
In normal driving, this feature is normally used only on rare occasions.
