Question 500E and 2 piece amg's..what sizes??

I really want to put these 2 piece amg's on my 92 500E. I have read many posts here and am somewht confused as to the right sizes so I will ask a few questions before going out and spending money hard earned.

1. Is the right size wheels for the 500E? 18x10 and 18x8.5?
if not what is the correct size?

2. What size tires to put ? my car is not lowered and I am not planning on lowering it. I dont want any rubbing but I do want to fill up the wheel well as much as possible.

3. What offset should i get if I want them to be perfectly alligned with the fenders. I dont want them sticking out more then the fenders but I dont want them hiding inside the fenders.

4. and finally what is the best tire out there in terms of performance and life span? I want them to last as much as possible but still handle great, i dont do any track racing but i do take it to a canyon every now and then.

any and all help and suggestions are greatly appreciated. I know many of you are very knowledgeable with these cars so i know i am getting the right help.

1. 18x8.5 and 18x10 will bolt right onto a 500E. These are the only two available sizes for this wheel, it was designed for the R129 SL. As you know, the 500E shares its underpinnings with the SL.

2. 245/40R18 and 275/35R18 should be perfect.

3. There is only one offset available for these wheels. As it is, the rear wheels may stick out a bit, but it will look more aggressive than awkward. The fronts should fit fine.

4. I'm partial to Bridgestone S-03s, but they are a max performance tire that may not meet your tread wear requirements.

You should post any and all 500E/E500 questions in the Hot Rods forum, as you will probably get a much better response there. My answers to your questions are to the best of my knowledge, but there's probably an owner or two who has actually had this setup on their 500E who might be able to better field your queries. Hope this helps!
