GSXR : Ok, uncle I will do the Limo Bar and the 500E rear swaybar. I feel the 500E springs will raise it too much!
Wow! Does window tinting cost that much?

Cardude,

Cool! I'm curious how you like the swaybars. You may want to buy them wholesale if possible, because the dealer will probably rape you on the cost. I believe *************** (Rusty Cullens) may be near you, he's in Atlanta somewhere. Tell him Dave in Boise sent you if you do contact him.

About the tint, yes, unfortunately it does cost that much for a PRO job with top quality tint. Do not go to the cheapest place! Ask some MB and BMW shops were they send people for a really good install. Oh, and I forgot you have a wagon... that means more glass, and possibly $300-$400... I recommend getting the windows as dark as you can stand it, maybe try out other people's cars BEFORE you get yours done. Some people really don't like the loss of vision at night with "limo (5% or 20%) tint. I like it as it reduces headlight glare inside the car to near zero. And make sure the tint has a lifetime warranty on parts & labor.

Springs... what springs do you have in there now? If the 500E's were too tall you could cut them to lower it more. But if the car rides well now, with whatever springs you have, you could just leave it alone...

Good luck!

Yep, expect to pay $300+ for a quality tint job.
Also, due to the weak coverage of the A/C in the rear, and the dark-color of your wagon, go with the darkest METALIZED FILM to keep the INFRARED heat out.

Do *NOT* go with a just a dye/limo-tint. Also, the darkest metalized film, is no-where as dark as the LIMO tint, so my wife REALLY likes it.

While most quality films come with a lifetime warranty on the product, I'd pay the extra $30-50 for a lifetime "warranty" on accidental abuse.

Due to all the loading that gets done, it's easy to scratch/scrape the tint. I've had the tint replaced on all three glass in the rear under warranty, so it paid for itself.
