Saw one of these last night, just had a E36 badge on one side, and an AMG badge on the other! It was a coupe, but was not designated on the badge.
I presume this thing has the same engine as the C36? Any more info about it ? Bri ------------------ Brian Drought 1991 300CE http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~drought/ ICQ: 2180069 |

Yeah. I think so, Read in some Euro maganize before that cause the 4v V-8 can't fit properly with right hand drive system so they put C36's engine in and named it E36. The new 3v V8 solved that problem.

Brian,
Any of the M104 block'ed motors can be taken out to 3.6 liters of displacement. Depending on which specific block it was and what the original valvetrain was (and/or how much work was done to that) would determine specific power numbers but 250HP+ is a safe bet. I don't know of any specific factory (or factory sanctioned) CE36 coupe but I'm not as familiar with euro models. Hope this helps...Lee |

So can the M103... ;-)
Kleeman can do a 3.7ltr converion for 16,000 DEM, which works out about $8,000 They reckon 240-250bhp and about 250lft torque from a 3.7 M103. Not tooo bad at all. Bri ------------------ Brian Drought 1991 300CE http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~drought/ ICQ: 2180069 |
