Benzmac? I actually have a question for you too:

Are you planning on doing a Turbo kit for the 2.5-16 or not?

Thanks in advance for your response

Hi 55 and thanks for the comments.

I would love to do the install. It is very impressive! Renntech has 5 sl55's in the shop right now! PS...We will be adding it to the MB Autowerks site complete with dyno pics and all.

EvoII. I will not be making a kit. I think the market would be WAY too limited! My car is a hoot to drive with 400hp though.@

Thumbs up 2003 E55

Thanks for the reply Donnie. How much do you charge for the install, and how long does it take? Do you think this will put the intercooler at the edge of its efficiency?

I sent you and e-mail a few minutes ago.

I don't think the MKB products are the way to go.

That said, The install for the Renntech upgrade is about $300.00 or so.

It is not that labor involved. It is just know the do's and don'ts.

If you want to see dyno charts for the Renntech or Kleemann products, let me know.

Wow, that is freakin' amazing power! That torque must feel like your eyeballs are going to the back of your skull during full throttle acceleration.

Those wheels.....yuck. The first thing I'd do is change those gawd awful stock rims. What was Mercedes thinking?

It is funny that you ask. I have talked to sooooo many people about that.

The SL55 feels a little softer than the Kleemann car. But, it is not in reality.

The reason it feels that way is because the car is doing so much of the driving for you. It has the fully adaptive air suspension and computer controlled boost and throttle. So, if you want to burn off the tires, it will do it, but for just a short time. The suspension is so good. It will loosen up in the rear to allow for weight transfer and more tire to the road...Then it will stop spinning. Also, it shifts verrrrrry smoth.

The dealer said my car should be in by the end of May. I hope this E55 can put down some numbers like that.
