560SEL euro headers
I'd like to know where I can find euro exhaust headers for my 1988 560SEL? I've read a thread about this and I searched for DEPO and Puma on the net, but I can't find it. Anybody know where I can find these headers??

Bekkers imports will special order them for you. Expect to pay around $1,100. I'm in the process of making headers for mine. I'll let you know how it goes.

Twitch: Do you mean stock euro dual exhaust manifolds or actual tube headers?
Super SEC: What are you expecting to shell out for custom headers and who are you having make them?

I'm not sure of the price yet and I'm having a local guy do the work.

You should look into sourcing them from a scrapyard in Europe or Japan. $1100 is way too much to order them. You may pay a lot for shipping but I bet you could pay a couple hundred for used ones overseas and save yourself $500-$600. I sold my old ones for $200 about 6 months ago. I'll let you know if I hear of anything.

Just remember: you'll also have to invest in new downpipes on top of redoing the rest of the exhaust. Timevalve makes stainless ones. Also, there are two types of dual euro manifolds. One looks just like any other manifold with one flange, and then there are ones with two flanges per manifold, more airflow I guess. I believe it's a pre-85/post-85 split. The ones I got for mine are the single outlet. I didn't know there were two until after I got them. I haven't put them on yet, but since mine is a stock 420, not a hot-rodded 560, I think the single flange ones will work fine more me. I guess you would want the ones with the two flanges since those came stock on your motor in europe, even with the earlier pre-'88 9.0:1 compression version.
You can see in this diagram what I am talking about with the two flanges per manifold.
