Q,

Look closer, because I believe they are oil sprayers, sourced from the Aston Martin DB3 you modified for duty against Goldfinger

I don't get it , why is it cheezy? In Hong Kong/Taiwan, half the cars I see on the roads have aftermarket parking alarms. They certainly cost less than OEM Parktronics and I'm sure they function relatively the same (w/o the flashy LCD display upfront of course)

To me, if you can't park a car, you shouldn't be driving one.

hehe well said Q.

Personally, I think if you can't judge the distance parking, then you shouldn't be in that car, or any car. you are just a danger to yourself and others if you can't drive. Me, I plan on going to a cool driving school, so I can take my car out on the track and just have some fun. hehe

I've been so good at judging distances, I've parked so close in a post before, I had to climb out the back of my truck(That was the 83 GMC Jimmy K5 I had at 16) because the doors were within inches of the other cars I parked next to. though they were both too close in on their spots, because the didn't know how to park, so I figured I'd give em a good lesson in parking properly hehe.

When i had my mgb, I was driving, and some fool pulled into my lane taking up half the lane, well the MGB was so small, he couldn't see me at all even if looking next to himself, I was there though. I took my hand and knocked on his passenger window. you can be rest assured he got quite a shock. He slammed on his brakes, he musta thought I was hanging off the side of his car. hehe LOL. I could have caused an accident, lots could have happened, I'm glad nothing did, but when we are young we all do stupid things. but it does go to show you that knowing how to judge distances can save your life, and can save your car from un necessary damage. Using electronic assitance tools is all fine and good, I just happen to think its not needed.

People sue others all the time for parking lot dings, its one of the flaws of our laws in the USA, home of the frivolous lawsuits. To highlight my point, a friends car rolled away, slipped outta gear, it bent the license plate on a benz, and the owner claimed $2700 damage for a bent license plate, and the cops even looked at the person's benz and said there was no damage. person is suing my friend for damages. he even has pictures of it all, and the plate is the only thing thats bent. not even a scratch on the paint of either car. His car rolled into the benz at 1 mph.

You guys wouldn't say that if you spent much time driving in Asia or Eastern Europe. If you had a nice car over there, especially a rather large one like an E55, you would definitley feel safer with a park-assist system, whether aftermarket or not. Parking spaces not even close to the same size as they are in North America and even Western Europe.
