Why not go with the 4-piston ATE's that will bolt right on your car?

Does anybody know what the smallest rim i can use with C32 brakes? |

They should work on our W124 since they're no reverse fitment involved.. I'm planning this mod this month if all goes well I think 17's is the minimum wheel size you need, but then the offet is the determining factor. But in the words of my buddy Hank, "Nothing spacers can't fix!"
I'm hoping Mark will lend me his hand to put it on

No no no no!!! Someone got W210 (96-up E-class) and W201 (84-93 190 class) confused. AFAIK, no the 210/202 brakes will NOT fit any 124 without major mods, i.e. custom fabricated brackets or knuckles.
The hot upgrade for an E320 would be 500E brakes, which are the same as SL500/SL600 (R129 chassis). You can get 294x25, 300x28, or 320x30 rotors up front with 4-piston calipers, and either 278x24 or 300x20 (?) in the rear. These are a bolt-on but very expensive and hard to find used. Check out this spreadsheet for more details: http://www.meimann.com/docs/mercedes/124_brakes.pdf Regards, |

i was trying to answer this question: Quote:
i didn't intend to confuse w210 brakes for w124's. i only know w203 c32 brakes will retrofit w201 AND w124 which seemed like the number one question...

Are you sure the W203/C32 brakes will bolt on to 201/124 chassis? I have never heard of this, never seen photos of it done, part lists, anything... if you have any details please share!
Thanks!! |

OK, cool, but what parts exactly were needed, and was anything custom fabbed? Is that your car? If not, do you have contact info for the owner? I'd like to know more about the swap! Also, what's the cost compared to the Brembo big-brake kit that Bekkers sells? Given the huge markup on anything with "AMG" stamped on it, I almost wonder if the Brembo kit may be cheaper, or at least lighter (less unsprung weight is always a good thing). Any additional info would be appreciated...
