I know this might sound crazy but you may want to go to the body shop that painted your car recently and ask them if any suspicious characters were seen checking out your car or asking questions ? just a thought !!!!!

I have been doing business with the same body shop for over ten years, they only do wholesale so I dont think they allow people to just walk around the shop but thanks for the thought, I do appreciate it.

run..I think if I ask the police to alert all body shops in SoCal to report any/all 500E paint jobs they will laugh at me, these guys don't give two ****s about my car, but I wish it was possible.
thanks guys

I know Seattle area is a far stretch from where you are, but I'll keep an eye out for anything.

Good luck.

Also, keep an eye out on the forums and ebay. Your parts might end up on one of them (I hope not).

Ouch!

Sorry about your stolen 500E. I hope it pops up, but I recovered a car that was stolen from me and wished I hadn't. Anyhow, I just stumbled on this link doing a google search for info about my new car: a 1994 E500. run.exe's looks so trick. Are those monoblocks 18 or 19 and how do they impact ride quality? Where did you get that rear trunklid from? Any other sites of interest? Later and good luck finding your stole 500E.

There is hope you'll find it.. have a look at this link:

From what I can work out, someone stole this guys MR2, and kitted it out with stereo, a load of mods (admittedly rather bad ones) and did 4000 miles in it, before he was spotted, and ran away, leaving 2 mobile phones inside.

Hope your car is found..

In light of recent events, it might not be advisable for those who have done so to advertise it , here.

Would-be theives should/may assume that we ALL have.

Good news.....and some bad news.

yahoooooooooooooooo......My car was found (that's the good news). The bad news is my wheels, headlights, front bumper and some other parts are gone. On May 29th my car was stolen as many of you already know. Last night it was found on a side street in North Hollywood. Now I have to start fixin her up for the second time. I need to find some Euro lights front bumper and some wheels. Well just thought many of you would like to know that she has been recovered and I am back..lol..

vcci

Pictures to follow shortly.

Although a bumper wheels and headlights for your .036 are not cheap, I am very glad it was found and suffered minor alterations...Hope you have it covered and are getting it back online soon...CONGRATULATIONS

Excellent, that's good to hear. How did they drive it? Was a window broken, or the locks forced? Was it hot-wired, or the ignition lock turned with something big and metal? What about the steering lock, is it working?

Maybe they skipped all this and took the key, eh?

Good luck, btw can I recommend fitting, if you don't want/cant afford a top of the line alarm, a simple immobilizer. Usually done by connecting something important in series to, say, another heated rear window switch, installed in an empty switch bay. Say the fuel pump wire. With the dummy switch on, fuel works, with it off, it doesn't.

later!
