My friend wants to sell my old 500E....
I owned it about two years ago, and I have to say it is one of the finest I've ever seen. I have owned three, so I'm hip to all the areas you want to know about. Black pearl/gray, it's fairly miley at 147k, but the records and history are unbelievable. EVERY receipt is there from day one, including the window sticker, all in a binder with each receipt covered, every stamp in the book. He also has all the original 92 sales literature etc in another binder, and it LOTS of extras, including but not limited to: 17" Evo wheels with 200 mile old Michelins, Bergwerks first gear start, ASR removal, cross drilled rotors, recently replaced console wood, Euro lights, markers, and smoked rear taillenses, about a $6000 hi-fi that is beautifully done; security with remote start, windshield and front glass have recently been replaced with OE glass, including all new moldings, recent radiator...anyway, I shouldn't be taking up this much space. Email me privately, I'll be glad to put you guys together. It is a remarkable car. Thanks, allen.

What's the ballpark price? By the way, there is an E500, white, 87,000 miles, for $15,000 in the SF Chronicle. "Good" condition".

He wants...
$20 ish. I thought that might be a bit much, but after seeing what people want for very, very average cars with no history and no extras--and this car has TONS of both--I don't think he's much out of line.
