Smile RARE...SL manual transmission

OK guys (and gals) here is a rare 4 speed transmission available for 350-560SL cars. May also work in SEC cars also etc with some extra work. It is on Ebay at this time and can be found at:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2423417830&category=33733

It is located in CA so you guys in the West shouldn't hesitate!

Good luck,

Hmm...

Does anyone know if the 116/117 block and 119 block share the same transmission mounting pattern?

Cool ...next question...anyone know who originally manufactured the old 4-speed manuals? Getrag? ZF? And if the bell housing is integral or bolted on?

Hi Glen,

How is the 16V differential doing?

About the bellhousing, it is seperate, ie the transmission is bolted to the bellhousing. I do however think that the manual transmission was only for the 116 engines, (350SL, 350 SE), don't know if it's the same pattern as the 117.

Take care,
