the 2.3 16v had 167 in the US and 185hp for the euro
the EVO1 was 205hp to match the ///M3
the DTM 's had 375h/p out of the 2.5l., with different pistons ,cams ,and fuel injection ,
same block/head on all models.

Mercedes doesn't race in N/A because its priority is F1. Remember they used to be involved in CART as an engine supplier and they weren't as competitive as they would have liked. After the failure of their engines in CART a few years back as well as their much publicised failure at LeMans 2 years in a row they opted to focus on F1 and DTM only.

yep that is true... Mercedes is focused on F1, DTM and you can't forget the GP trucks,
F1 is just so expensive it doesn't leave room for any other factory racing, Same with BMW and F1 ,
there's not even enough money for DTM.
