500E/E500 owners,

Someone I know is selling his Minichamps collection of 500E's. I might be able to get 1 silver and 2 black..not sure yet. For sure I'm buying one of the blacks.

I'm buying one from him for $140....is anyone else interested. I saw 2 500E at ebay that sold for $167.00 plus shipping.

I believe they are all 500E's w124. I will ask him to take a picture.

I am looking for a Brilliant Silver 500e with light gray body cladding on the lower half, and the interior color that MBZ calls "Ash."

On my monitor, the photo appears to show a car that looks more gray than silver and the body cladding looks more silver than gray. That's not what I am looking for. Also, I cannot see the interior color, nor can I see the hood and headlights to be able to tell if it is a 500E or E500.

Please let me know if the model matches my needs as described. If it does, I am in!

Minichamps only made two versions of the 500E and only in 1/43 scale. Model 3241 is the 1992 500E in anthracite metallic and model 3240 is in black. I bought a black one on eBay for $12.

They also made the updated 1994/95 W124 sedan in many more colors. Other than the front fender flares, it looks like the E500. I have one each in red with tan interior and blue with black interior.

Finally, I have a 450SEL 6.9 in bright orange! Still looking for a 6.3 to round out the collection of super sedans.

Do you have any resources where to get the diecast? I'm looking for a E500 94 Black. All I have available to me is the 92 500E.

BTW - they have a 500E on ebay for $110 + Shipping (Black) with missing mirror with 5 days to go...

Jay: I've been thinking of duplicating my own 94 E500 in beryl (teal green) from the Minichamps 94 E320 in 1/43 scale. You would have to sculpture the fender flares in putty and paint the entire car after masking the glass and trim. This is tricky in that small scale, but its really your only option for the newer body
style.

In 1/24 scale I have a plastic model kit from Revell of Germany (#7269) of the AMG 300E, in addition to Tamiya's excellent kits of the AMG 500SL 6.0 liter (#24095), AMG S600 (#24139) and AMG 600SEL (#24128). These were all obtained on eBay at very good prices.

Here is a Minichamps E320 on sale right now for $20 at eBay:

If my camera was working I would post a picture....but I have a MiniChamps (part #3241) that is Anthrazit Met., I really want to find a real 500E that color...I have seen one here in Austin some time ago.

I found mine online somewhere 5 years ago for $30.

Wow, $160 is big coin for a 6 inch toy car...isn't it?

Ebay.de has or had a 500E Minichamps model for 40 euros last time I looked....and they were under $50 new I believe. Alot of those 1/43s are low production items...anybody know how many 500Es in the series?

I will check if he still has it available (silver). It would be nice if we can find some at ebay for $50..no luck. The only one at ebay is a 500E with no side mirrors. I put a bid on it to play with.
