slow sun roof

Hi,
I am experiecing a slow sun roof when I close it, about two third of its way.
I checked if anything was on the way or could slow it down but found nothing. Strangely it happened suddenly.
Any trick or answer ?

One possibility, when my sunroof slowed down, my battery died within three days. I've heard others suggest that the battery will cause this, assuming there are no obstructions.

You may want to have a mechanic check it out.

Mine did that, right before a right rail component failed causing the whole sunroof to no longer open more than 1/3 of the way open.

Not a cheap repair. So get it checked out before some binding occurs and something breaks.

cheap and easy to put some lube on the rails or at least see if there is a sufficient amount on them- - use the MB stuff (it is unlike any lube goop I've seen)

you can probably swing by your local MB dealer and ask them to lube the rails for free to see if that helps- they use a very small bent brush and it takes all of about 2 minutes to apply

When You Lube the Sunroof ..Please Clean the Rails and remove the Dried Grease..I Have Seen Some techs Apply New grease over the Old/dried grease..and the sunroof still binds..
Spend The time and Clean the rails before Applying New Sunroof Grease...I Use Brake Clean and a Clean Rag to clean The Sunroof rails Then apply the MB Sunroof Lube
Good Luck!
