To see one in person...

Are there any lucky E500 owners in the tri-state area?(NY,NJ,CONN.)Would like to go over the vehicle, prior to trying to purchase one. Thanks in advance.

C'mon guys...

just one little peek.I would really like to look one over, and possibly take a ride.I live in Monmouth Co. in NJ.I will be looking for one in a dryer climate, and really need to be sure that this is the ride that I really "need"!Any help would be greatly appreciated. If there are no takers, I totally understand, as these are highly desireable machines.I am willing to travel to a set destination for safety (the cars,HA!HA!)reasons. Thanks again in advance.

EYE CANDY...

Hey Roas,
Thanks for the offer.I live in a little town named Freehold, again, in NJ.We are most famous for being the hometown of Bruce Springsteen. We are surrounded by affluent towns, and I see Ferrari's, and Aston Martins on occasion, but have yet to see a E500.I would really prefer to look one over,as opposed to flying in to see one without knowing what to luck for,or having one to compare it to.So again, thank you for the offer, but you are just a might too far to travel to.Best of luck with your car.
Tom

Hey TPARK

If you are ever in Montreal you are welcome to take a spin in mine. Good idea to test drive first, i have been in the detailing biz for 20 years now and i get the opportunity to drive all kinds...
NOTHING drives like a 500e.

When a buddy of mine, who has the '03 C32 AMG, chipped and all, took my 500 for a try and floored it from a stop, his sunglasses, that were up on his head, ended up in the back seat...no joke. He then came to the next light, looked at me and said, "o.k. that was pretty impressive."
One week later he picked up an E55 AMG... Probably the strongest car i have been in.

How about MD?

Depending on where you are in NJ, Maryland is not too far. I live about 1 hour from the Del-NJ bridge at the end of the NJ Turnpike.

You're welcome to stop by any time during a weekend.

Rgds,
Chris W.

Good idea to become familiar with the car....you'll find that there are many more 500e500's that are tired and in need of work to bring them to factory performance vs. good tight ones. (I have been told by MB reps that the majority of these cars were bought new and used as daily drivers)

I'd suggest scanning e-bay for one that may be close to you to test drive...also: used car dealers, MB dealers, private sales, etc.

Good luck

MD WOULD BE JUST FINE...

Chris W,
Thank you very much for the offer. As soon as I get a chance,I would love to see your ride.I work for the USN and we're a bit busy right now.Perhaps we could get together in the early fall, before the harsher weather gets here.We wouldn't want to subject one of these awesome cars to any unneccessary inclement conditions. Thanks again to you and all who answered.
Tom
