W124 500E European Headlamp Assemblies For Sale
I have TWO BRAND NEW sets of geniune factory Hella W124 500E headlamps. These are probably THE most rare W124 headlamps available.
These are FACTORY EUROPEAN SPEC 500E LAMPS!!! These HAVE the chromed reflectors and H3 driving lamps. They fit all W124 sedans, coupes, and wagons from 1986-1993. These are NOT for 1994-1995 W124 cars. Again, these are NOT the same as standard European headlamps for the early W124s, these are European 500E headlamps from Hella. BTW, Hella IS the factory original manufacturer for the 500E headlamps; even though Bosch is the supplier for the standard Euro lamps. Finally, these unit HAVE BEEN DISCONTINUED by Hella forever. I had 3 units, kept 1 for myself (I have a 1992 300TE 4-Matic wagon that's getting that set), and have 2 sets remaining. I had no problems using US corners on the Euro lights. I have no idea why Euro corners wouldn't fit.
FWIW, PUMA was selling new Hella 500E lights for $499/set plus S&H. That included all 6 bulbs, connectors, and instructions. Call 800-35-HELLA (that's 800-354-3552) and ask for Paul. Alternately, Speed-Autoteile.com can get the OE Mercedes 500E or E500 Euro lights from Germany, and the last time I checked it was about the same cost - ~$500/pair (in USD, including exchange rate & shipping). Like I said, I haven't heard from anywhere else that these are going out of production. Regardless, I'm glad I picked up a set for each of my cars already!

You have done very neat things with mercedes, and I know you don't have much time. But if you offer something for sale, you should really get back to those who have contacted you (me, and the others). If you don't have time to deal with selling something you should really just keep it. Kind Regards, Austin

The 500E lights are still being produced by Hella and sold through mercedes. So, there will be spares parts available. Michael
