Tobias -
the v6 is staying in here because of senimental factors...the guy that gave me the originalpowertrain is no longer with us (and i just received my factory new V6, and the CNCD parts for the blower are in, ect)...the v8 will be for another mercedes (w123 coupe) or a 190 as i have thought/and dreamt about that many times...so please get some photos up here - i have been waiting for those.
Rock on with the flares...that s on the list as to stop hitting my front fenders with the 205 -225s (depending on shoe)

A V8 will happen - they are too much fun...we have fox chassis and newer and older mustangs...i want to buy a FactoryFive roadster next summer..plenty of projects. My uncle owns a HOTROD shop and there is always chopping, tubbing, fabricating / not to mention the engines - you name it - goes on there.

-Jake

UPDATE ON 1-7-04
well the steering shaft works great, smooth as glass and the "soda can bearing" as i am calling it is holding the OEM column true...we shall see how it really turns the wheels and car in the future...

Hehe - can any of you imagine a 190 boiling 315 width tires? Through 3 gears??- Michael
- yes, yes I can.

Lots more work done...

Wow Jake, you've got the blower on now...what a ride. The intercooler looks good also on there and bet it helps the system perform better. Jumping on any rice burners yet??
Keep it up...what's next on the project??? V8??

My 190/5.8 is now up for sale as a new car is under construction and I hope ready to go on track next spring. Know of any takers??

Good luck,

Oh the car is just a BLAST to drive...it is pretty cool to have this "dressed up" old Mercedes-Benz with some go in it...When the blower hits, it is a pretty fun ride!

I am working on trying to get into a house and such so the projects are slowing down a bit...I need to improve my intake tubes...they are homemade (like everything else) parts...I think Dad and I have a better idea...we shall see this summer...

The intercooler does look nice WIZARDCOOLING does great work - and more important they are awesome to deal with...it also has to be keeping the charge cooler - i have no numbers, but after running around the intake side is hot to the touch, and the discharge side cold cold cold! The use of the CF also has to be aiding as there is no heat soak into those parts!

Keep us updated for the new car, and sorry I know of no one looking for your set up...

Looking forward to the Vintage race at the Glen next month!

Jake

EDIT-
This is the very FIRST mold I opened, and part I (we) tried to make...you can see I had a lot to learn...the parts on the car now are round and much better - but not perfect...I am looking to better the finish...
