500e Diff. Fill Plug, Where is it hiding?!

Had my new toy ('93 500e) up in the air yesterday and was hunting for the rear differential housing's fill plug. Needless to say, I couldn't find it. I assume it is buried in there somewhere! If anyone has any advice on removing the fill plug and changing the diff fluid I would be interetsed in hearing it. Thanks!

Andy

Why do you want to change your diff fluid. Its special fluid you know not just 90 weight gear lube. The fill plugs is on the drive side of the diff. But if its not making noise .I would not disturb it. Just my opinion and oh yeah my 16 yrs as a MB tech.

The current fluid has nearly 100k miles and to ensure another 100k I would like to replace the current fluid. I was planning on using the factory fill. I'll take another look on the for the fill plug next time I have the car in the air. I assume that by drive side you mean the pinion's side of the ring gear. Thanks for the help and advice.
