I am upgrading the suspension on my 190 16v. I am using AMG springs (2inch drop) and factory sachs/boge Shocks w/ self leveling rear. The only problem is how do you go about aligning the suspension correctly. 1. Do I change the front camber, and how much? 2. Should I have the alignment done during installation, or should I wait a week inorder to let the suspension settle. 3. Or should I have a basic alignment done during installation, and then wait a week for the springs and shocks to settle, and then have the suspension aligned again. You will have to forgive me I am a beginner in this area, so please be precise and detailed. Any/all advice will be greatly appreciated. Please help I am lost and confused. |

The best idea is to have the alignment done after the work is done, after driving a few miles & letting the car sit for a few hours if possible. Set the front end with about one(1) degree of negative camber. Have the toe-in adjusted to the minimun spec. & the caster as much as possible. Hope the shocks are of the shortened variety or they WILL bottom out.
