I am starting a group buy for 500E EURO lights made by HELLA.

These are for the prefacelifted cars. 1986-1993 260E, 300E, 400E, 500E, 300D all w124 body styles including the 300CE.

I am doing the Group buy through PUMA, regular puma Price is $499 + shipping, the group buy price will be $459 + shipping for 5 sets. Payment will be sent to me in the form of money order, cashiers check or paypal through a bank account. I will put together a big cashiers check for PUMA.

Paul at PUMA is willing to ship directly from PUMA to whoever participates in this group buy through me, so that you dont have to pay double shipping (PUMA to ME, ME to you, you get the idea)

2 Headlight bulbs (H4)
2 Driving light bulbs (H3)
2 City light bulbs (T4W)
2 Six pin connectors

What is not included that you need if you want to hook up vacuum adjust?
1 rosetta dial for vacuum adjust
1 vacuum adjust bezel for around your headlamp switch
1 rubber elbow
1 rubber T fitting
.5m of rubber for Misc. connections
5m of hard vacuum line

This stuff should be less than $100. IF you want this, I can get it from Germany this week, if not you can get it through the US dealer w/ part numbers, but it might take some time. My germany order should be here just after the start of the year, I have to complete ordering for Germany this week.

Do these have the foglight or the driving light?

I believe all 500E had the driving light, which only comes on with the high beam.

All other Es had the foglight, which on comes on with the low beam.

Look up daniel Stern lighting, he has a lot of great information. I used to have a headlight obsession as well, not as much now that I have euro lights on most of my cars. I just want 500e euro lights so I was putting this group buy together.

I was just curious as I would want the foglight headlights, not the driving light (500E) version.

I used to have a 95 VW GTI VR6 that I put the follwing into:

- Hella smoked dual round headlights with retrofit Audi TT E-Code HID projectors
-manual headlight levelling
-European headlight switch with headlight levelling dial
-modified circuitry so fogs, low beam HID, and halogen high beam could all be run together
-modified circuitry so fogs acted as Daytime Running Light in place of low beams
-modified circuitry so that parking lights were city light only
-modified circuitry so signals acted only as signals and not parking lights

I also just updated my W163 bixenon headlights so that the halogen high beams now come on with the HID high beams. It is like driving on a cloudy day now at night.

Those look like little amg wheels. Pretty neat little car. My friend down the street has an R32 on order, should be here soon he hopes. I thought they were going to put the S4 engine in the R32, but I guess not for the us market.

How much were your headlight upgrades for the vw?

Guido, Unfortunately the situation with the dollar vs. the euro has made the price from PAUL at PUMA go up.

So in two years the dollar has declined nearly 40% compaired to the euro.

In one year the dollar has declined 32% compaired to the euro.

So you and neil got a set of 500E euro lights for 375, since the dollar is worth 32% less now, if you multiply that out it is 495, so actually I am getting a better deal at 459, than you did when you bought them together with neil in todays dollars.
