Noisy Air Pump?
Just a question for all M119 V8 engine owners. (500E/E500, 400E, S500, SL500, and any that I left out)
Who has a Air Pump you would like to silence? Mine still works, but I am getting ready to replace it out of sheer intolerance for the noise it makes.

Ross,
Mines just starting to make that 'Dry' bearing noise on startup. Would drive me nuts if it was on all the time but usually it's about 30 seconds. I was told that the cause of failure on these pumps isn't usually caused by poor air pump construction, it's the check valve that prevents moist exhaust from entering the pump. The valve typically fails causing the bearing to dry out. I remember asking on another thread if it's worth trying a group buy on something like this.....or have I lost it? Wait don't answer that last one.
