I also asked this question on the bekkers board but figured I would also ask here. Is their a company besides Remus that actually makes an exhaust for a 16v or am I going to just have to go for a universal muffler? Remus is just too expensive for just the muffler. I have heard names like Sebring, anyone know who I could call or a webpage where their is a 16v exhaust. I want to do a cat-back system. Would I be better off having a universal muffler and a local muffler shop put bigger pipe from the cat to the muffler (2.25 or something).
thanks alot for the help hope to contribute more in the future (new member) cavan |

I am not sure of any aftermarket exhausts for the 16V other than what Bekkers has (besides just mufflers). Although I do believe SuperSprint makes an exhaust for the 16V (I know they make them for Mercedes). There aren't enough 16V's for companies to mass produce an exhuast system for it. I have a custom 3" exhaust on my car, no cats and a one camber muffler, VERY loud. I am going to be putting the car on a dyno very soon to find out if I will do better with two 2.25" pipes. Dropping in a K&N air filter will help give the car a more deeper tone too.

Have you tried Borla? They do some OEM and some aftermarket applications. Worth a try...
