i need help my car will not rev over 4000 rpm (2nd gear only )until it has reached fully warm temp. this never happens if ambient temp is above 60 to 65 degrees, but lately the temp in the mornings is in the teens and it may take 20 mins to warm up i hate not being able to wind it out in 2nd gear ,where the pull is so good it will rev to 4k rpm and then the gas gets cut off. the same thing happened 2 years ago and my mechanic said that when he examined the tranny there was a transmission protection device that protrudes from the tranny housing he said that it had been damaged possibly by road debris. he said the plastic housing was cracked. he epoxyed the housing back together and all was well, until about 2 months ago... so i'm guessing i need to rerplace this device. i found a transmissionn overload switch on fast lane part # 722.365 for about 70 bucks. i thought i might replace it myself but i need help...where is it ??? how do i approach it??? photos would be great what tools do i need what do i torque it to??? thanx in advance !!!
