What are my options to upgrade my Healights to the new looking H4 Bulbs. Is it the same look as the dealer? How expensive? Any good sites online?

Since there are two different E320 chassis (W124 & W210) I don't have an answer. Could you give the year?

Sorry RAguas, but your 1996 E320 does not have a H4 bulb! A H4 bulb is a dual filament bulb containing both high and low beams. Please check your owners manual, I believe you have a H7 bulbs. You have one H7 bulb for low beam and one H7 bulb for high beam. Also, what do you mean by "new looking"? Are you referring to the white/blue tint High Intensity Discharge (HID) Zenon Gas bulbs. If you are, the HID Zenon bulb conversion kit available at www.bekkers.com cost $1672. If that is too costly you can try the new DOT legal Solaris UltraWhite H7 bulbs which come close to HID brightness sold at www.autosupermart.com. Hope this helps.

No Halogen can come close to the HID Xenon lighting provided by MB or the aftermarket. Any Halogen that illuminates the road as well as a HID will probably not be legal. Halogens modified to give a "blueish" light will actually be worse than regular Halogens. The reason being Halogens do not emit much light in the blue spectrum. Since you are only letting the blue light through, you are weakening the Halogen light you do have. The HID Xenon's look "blue" from the outside but when driving a car equipped with them, the illumination looks pure white. Either get HID Xenon's and do it right, or use what you have. Higher wattage or otherwise modified Halogen bulbs wont give you HID visibility and may get you in trouble with the DOT. Once instance where you do get what you pay for. Search the Shop Forum records regarding HID lighting and HID conversions.

Hope this helps...Lee
