Aftermarket Rear Rotors for AMG E55 & C43

Does anyone know if there are aftermarket rotors for the AMG E55 and C43? I have not found any and would like to upgrade to something a little better if possible.

Thanks,

Jeff

I've got a local custom guy who claims that the 2003 CL 55 AMG cross drilled rotors (made by Brembo) will bolt right up to a stock C43 with OE calipers, front and back. I've not seen these rotors yet and have not yet recieved the part numbers from him. When I do I will post the info.

I've emailed Brakeman for a price on their front rotor and aluminum caliper set up for the C43. I could not find a picture or a price for that exact set up on their web site. They have not yet responded. Do you have any info on your Brakeman set up that you can email me? Do you still like your new brake system and how much do replacement rotors cost?

I'm still deciding whether to go Brakeman, Brembo or C55 AMG for cross-drilled vented rotors front & back. My needs are primarily rotor replacement costs, less brake dust & better back road performance with an upgrade in looks from the cross-drilling.

Your rear camber arms have been consitently performing excellently for the 2 months I've been using them!! Any news on upgrades for the C43 front suspension?

Thanks,

Marc

I have some info on the Brakeman brakes. I am very happy with mine as they stop on a dime and never fade. Rotors should be about $100 to $200 for both sides depending on waht you want and how much time is spent on stress relieveing, etc.

I would highly recommend them for the front brakes. The caliper is a much better unit than the Grand Turismo Brembo caliper. If Brembo put the same quality calpier in their brake setup it would cost you another $2000 or so.

I think price on the Brakeman kit is around $2200-$2400. But you should talk to Eric at the shop. Tell him that Jeff Short sent you.

Please let me know what you find out on the rear rotor setup.

Also thanks for the update on the rear Camber Arms.

Jeff

Stoptech has brake kits for Mercedes to include big brake kits for the AMG cars. 332mm, 355mm, and 380mm. The retail list is $2195, $2695, $3295 respectively. Pricing is suggested retail only for reference. If you are interested you can email me for actual prices. Everyone knows we don't like to pay retail.

Marc,

Here is a pic of the front brake rotor (13.1" x 1.25") and caliper. The caliper is a 4 piston forged piece that is ultra rigid, so there is no brake pad drag.
