6.0l Amg W124
Exchanged waves with the driver of what was labeled as an AMG 6 liter W124 sedan on the way to work yesterday. Anyone seen one of these before, any idea if it's after-market modified, or was there such a car available through AMG. AMG spoiler up front, but no Hammer ducktail in the rear. Very nice car, anyway.

What color was it? No ducktail is fishy. Did it sound mean? Austin, what do you think?

Did it have fender flares like a 500E or no?
AMG badge on the left trunk side, and 6.0 on the right trunk side in very block lettering like the old school amg style? Im not sure, needs to have a ducktail, side skirts, rear bumper spoiler, and front bumper spoiler for it to be an AMG car.

What city were you in? What color was it.
I do know of a guy that lives in Alameda that does have this conversion w/o the ducktail. He also has a few other cars that I have been ever so fortunate to see (Dinan BMW, Kleenman CLK55 and a modfied 560SEC). I met him one day during lunch when he was eyeing my E500 and I had to drag him away from my car Nice guy. If it is this guy, he is legit with his stuff. That 6.0 is mean, he was driving it when I first met him, and he went and put it in storage and switch over to his modified 560SEC and came back to show me. I see him quite often as I work in Alameda. |

Shanta,
This guy in alameda, does he have like the 500E 6.0, or the 300E 6.0? Meaning M119 6.0 vs M117 6.0? Do you recal? Thanks,

EDIT: My E500 is still in NYC enjoying the cold weather. At least it is garaged. |

We were on hwy 24 heading West out of the Caldecott tunnel, I took a right to go towards the Bay Bridge and he headed straight towards Oakland/Alameda, so could very well have been your guy.
Looked like a 300e, no fender flares. Lowered with 18s, but I can't recall any body work other than front fender. Yes, old style block lettering as described above.
