W124 shocks/struts wanted
I am looking for a set of low milage struts/shocks that were removed to perform an upgrade. I recently bought an 87 300D that had been sitting for a couple of years. I have investigated new product pricing (bilstein HD's) and at this time would perfer to find some take offs at a price I can better afford.
Thanks, Lee |

Neil,
How do the 500E struts compare to the bilstein comfort/HD/sport? I was not really thinking on going to the Bilstein sport level. How much milage on these and what are you asking? Thanks, Lee |

Lee: the Bilstein Sports are FIRM all the time and are ONLY for lowered/shortened springs.
The 500E front struts work best with the 500E front springs, but will work fine with the stock W124 front springs. The 500E front struts are like Bilstein Comforts/stock front struts, but when pushed FIRM-UP since they have internal limiting springs. New they are over $300/each. They have about 55K/miles on them. :-) neil Last edited by ke6dcj; 03-01-2004 at 09:33 PM. |

Neil,
I am not sure about the gauge panel sets you are refering to. I don't have anything like what you are describing, nor know where to obtain such. Lee |

Whoops, I got confused on threads. I thought you were selling "white faced" gauge overlays.
Used front 500E struts: $285 BEHR Radiator: $100 :-) neil |
