High Rate Valve Springs for M103??

Anyone know where I can find or have made performance valve springs for the M103? I have looked everywhere without much luck. It seems that Schrick and Brabus both made them at one time but have since been discontinued. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Adam

If you can't find them, Comp cams, Crane cams etc will make custom ones. Not sure on price but I heard its not too expensive.
By the way what bumper do you have on your w124?

I'll run the Schrick springs on a spring compression tester at Comp Cams once they arrive. I'm putting the Schrick Cam on the CAM dyno along with my M104.981 Cams.

mbracer,

You have access or a good relationship with the guys at Comp Cams? I have been thinking of having them come up with a good cam for my C43 along with valve springs.

What are your opinions on this? Is there room to increase the valve acceleration rates to open the valve quicker?

Also do you know the valve stem diameters of a C43 valve and the stock cam specs?

I am becoming convinced that I what to build this motor provided I get my Supersport and Superbike race motors done.

If you can't get Peter, let me know and I'll try.

Also, I wouldn't spend the time or money or building a C43's engine when there are 5.5L M113's V8 out there . . .

I have an close indirect contact at Comp Cams as I work with one of their former developement engineers.

As for having a cam made you would be better off going to Englin or Web Cams and have a regrind or hard welded cam done for you. The hard welded is super hard and wears better than the OEM casting.

The increased ramp speed of the cam lobe will have to be measured for your engine for clearance. I haven't done any work on any of the 3 valve motors.

I think when it comes to dollars and sense, a supercharger is going to be your best bet in economy and relaibility.
