New Airdam Options? (pict)

So I have a broken air-dam as seen in the pict.....DOH! (plus a rock chip in my fog light lens)

HERE

Anyway, Performance Products has the stock air-dam for $400 something. I haven’t quoted the dealer but I can’t imagine it being much less. I guess the design is okay and all, but I was thinking that if I'm going to be spending money on a new air-dam, would now not be the best time to change it?

What are my options here? What styles are available? Where can I look? Is it a quality part? Something with integrated foglights (alla E500) would run me about what? I was wondering because I may upgrade to E500 headlights and would need foglights. An AMG bumper perhaps…or maybe an quality AMG knockoff (quality:knockoff…yeah I know, oxymoronic)

As far as I have heard erebuni is junk, right?

BTW its a '94 E420 in case you wanted to know

Erebuni sucks....strictly because Fibreglass bodykits are generally low quality. They take a lot of time for the bodyshop to get smooth and you have to fabricate mounts. Not to mention that if you scrape it or hit it you can crack the paint easily.

For a quality AMG knockoff, I would try www.nrauto.com. They have AMG replicas that are plastic versus Fibreglass, and I was quoted about $500 for the front bumper, minus fogs. For the 500e stuff you have to upgrade the fenders with the bumper, definately an option, but expensive unless you happen to find a wrecking yard that has one and will let parts go cheep.

These cars look awesome with just the AMG front bumper and stock rear bumper and rocker panels. Check out zorroamg's 300e

Thumbs up

hey scott

thanks for the quick response. I totally forgot about the fender difference with the E500.

I'll check out nrauto. Thanks again.

Scott.

Maybe true but fiberglass is repairable,
plastic is not.

Which can save you $$$$$ in the long run.

Louis.
