190e 2.5-16v ASD question
This weekend I took out the stock wiring harnes because I'm installing MegasquirtnSpark. It turns out that the ASD is hooked up to the stock ECU (a connector from the ECU connectes to some kind of pump thats located behind the front right wheel). I'm wondering if I can hook it up to the Megasquirt. Can anyone tell me how the ASD works ? How and when does the ECU turn it on and off ?

If you truly have ASD that is a cool one!
The way it works is the pump fills the accumulator and the pressure sits there until the control unit feels slip by looking at wheel speed sensors. Then it opens a valve that LOCKS the diff! If it was my car, I'd take out the control unit and put in a switch that I could turn on and off to give me posi in the rear!

Benzmac, thanks for the idea and yes I really have the ASD (the pumps there, the big ASD relay is also present ) . How would I wire a switch ? My guess is I should bypass the relay and wire the switch directly inline to the connector. There two wires that go to the pump, a suspect one is ground and the other is 12v right ?
