Nice one chaps! Are you going to transfer some of the existing ones here or is that going to be at user request?

Thank you as this should be an excellent section full of inspiring projects.

We featured your baby benz thread in our newsletter and with your permission, I'd like to redirect the thread to this section, what do you think?

Yeah great stuff - I might be starting one for my W123 soon too - if I do "do" that one I'll post it in this bit.

Dude, this is great!

Can you move my thread (http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/diesel-discussion/343113-my-1982-300sd-project-thread.html) here?

Thank you so much!

So the new PP seems to have more and more categories of threads. And I want to be sure that everyone is clear of the downside. Right now, if it relates to a diesel car, I have three places to check... DD, Vintage, and Diesel Performance (or whatever it is called). With this new forum, there will now be diesel related threads in four places. So essentially, things will be harder to find and each area will get less traffic. Unless things are cross listed, fewer categories are always better for finding helpful information.

The primary reason I don't use BenzWorld is that it takes too many clicks to find all the forums where a diesel related thread may appear. Unfortunately, PP seems to be heading in that same direction.

This sub-forum will get less traffic than the primary Gasser and Diesel sub-forums, which doesn't seem like it will be as helpful as keeping all the info in one place.

Just sharing my $0.02

I kind of know what you mean but I'm amazed at the number of interesting threads I miss under both systems. (I've missed ones here and BW - 25 pages later there's me saying "how the %^&& did I miss this?") I think it is a good idea to try new administrative groupings - it could hep - if it all goes tits up we can always ask for the threads to be moved somewhere else I guess.

I'm going to use my signature to link to the longer term project threads anyway (I've already started that for the W201 craziness)

What I'd really like to see is a way of customising the user information pages so I can organise and add in links to the best stuff here as well as stuff I've done - kind of like an always open editable thread that would be full of links that I could categorise in a way I like - a bit like a homepage but here...

Shortsguy1, thank you for your comments and understood about the dangers of diluting the site. We are consider adding a New Member Introduction section sometime in the future but beyond that, there are no plans for adding more sections.

There are some amazing long-term build threads out there and we've had forum users request the creation of this particular section so that they can showcase their build along with the highs & lows, all within one thread.

Regarding the search function, searching individual forums is effective but the site as a whole search button within the navigation bar works pretty well too.

Thanks! We need to start populating this section. Do you think "Uttini" may work well here or suggest some other long-term builds and we'll reach out to those folks.

My "new" 220D and my Mercedes diesel love

Can't find the W115 thread (may be there wasn't one after all?)

Anyway Jooseppi are you gonna join this part of the forum with your big thread?

EDIT - blink and you'll miss it! 'Tis already there!
