Nice project!

How much did the dynamats do to road noise? Is it worth it? I'm thinking on doing it to my W460, after I fix the water leaks and rusty floor (and engine swap...) .

Its super quiet now. I'm really pleased with how the dynamat worked out. I'm planning on putting some in the 240D as well whenever it gets back on the road (currently re-doing the suspension)

Looks great!

My tip for rust prevention:
-Degrease the area
-Heat the area with a torch or heat gun until the surface water boils off.
>When you apply heat you will see haze appear and then disappear.
>Once it has disappeared, then you apply the paint of your choice.

I've done this with brand new brake drums, and the paint has held for 4+ years.

If you're a cheapie rubber roofing adhesive comes in 6" rolls and is almost as good as dynamat.

Haven't had the time or need to do much to the car lately. I did need to replace one of the rear tires after running over something on the way to BenzFest last month. Thankfully tire rack has them and they even have a warehouse here in Delaware which allows will call. Future projects include lowering and a/c repair. I will most likely re-build the front suspension at the same time.

Getting ready for a mild drop. I have new springs, struts and mounts but I'm still waiting on the new LCAs with the balljoints and bushings.

Don't do it. It is beautiful as it sits now.
