Bought myself a 1982 280TE Wagon

Hey folks,

Purchased a new Benz the other day: a 1982 280TE wagon. Originally German I believe, then it went to the US, and now it's in Canada. So quite the traveled car.

Fortunately, it's only got 135k on the clock, and is remarkably rust free. It's got a couple of minor war wounds here and there from, but mechanically it's in great shape. The previous owner spent a whole bunch of money getting the seats resprung and padded. It drives pretty much like a new car.

Glad to have a wagon now. Just got to do something about the headlights...

Get yourself another front fender and a door moulding and you are set. Nice find.

Nice find! The euro M110 is a fantastic engine and I would imagine its perfect in the wagon.

After many hours in the garage with the polish/wax/elbow grease, a bit of touch up paint on various marks and scratches, some RainX for the glass, and a few new trim clips from MB to reattach the door trim, I now have a car that looks fairly reasonable...

Very nice indeed. You should be able to replace that fender easily and it'll look perfect.
