So i got the engine removed now from the chassis
and it is really big
now i have to look what i need from the orignal car and what can be sold in parts. the only thing that needs to be removed from the old chassis is the rear axle.
here is a video from the engine removal

engine and drivetrain of the 190
but first something about the engine electronics and why i'm not going to use the OEM mercedes engine electronics

Also have a look at this.

M120 V12 Kit Car finally runs.

And there is someone on out list that inserted the M120 into a R107 so do a search for that.

Something to think of on the MB V12 , it was quickly introduced to take a run at BMW and provide the smoothness that a V 12 offers so I wonder if development was cut short. I don't think that just going to an aftermarket FI system is going to cure all ills, but I do expect the stock MB system to be tuned more towards squishy luxury performance.

Frustratingly, the M104 that is the basis for the M120 seems to do pretty well thought is a bit soft below 2,500 RPM making it curious why the M120 is considered a RPM dog.

The Zonda engine is AMG tuned so there could be some hope.

At some point I'll get going on my R129 track day car project, I had dismissed the M120 due to weight an am going to stick with a 3.2 M104.

Is the early 2000's twin turbo MB V12 a M120 or something different? This might be a more direct route.
I've seen one of these in person. There wasn't enough room left in that engine bay to drop a single penny into.

got the engine in the engine bay and it fits pretty good
i got enough room in between the engine and radiator
also in the back of the engine there is still some room to put
the oem interior fan cover back with some modifications
the fan will be placed on the place of the battery
because the cover needs to be moved about 3 TO 4 CM to
the firewall
also very important the hood will close without any problems

Fantastic, very enjoyable.

Are you thinking of putting in extra vents to take away some of the heat when standing?

in the oem engine bay it is also a very closed enguine bay
i don't think that the engine bay of the 190 is more closed then a w140
i have only the radiator in the front of the engine and no aircondition
the coolant fluid in the engine will absorb the heat of the engine also when standing still so when the temp is going up and the electric cooling fan is going to run in needs to have the capacity to cool down the cooling fluid that it will shut of again and the we have a complet heat cycle.

i need to test this but i think it is not a problem i have the oem 600 v12 cooler i personally think that a electrical fan capable of doing this
but i the first time i will monitoring this closely

but thanks.
