I would have to go with the fuel pump relay, had the same problem with an 89 300TE, replaced the fuel pump relay and problem was gone

I do not have anything in the defrost mode, I beginning to believe that the problem is the push button control unit, and guesses on that?

we have ruled out the blower motor as the problem, and we have checked the relay under the glove box and power is going to it

I have an 89 300TE with the same type of noise. I have 200,000 miles on it, pulled the valve cover and everything looks brand new. Could it be a bearing in the lower end?????
