shop owner tells me they are from a 500e 16x8 et34, they do stickout a little on the fronts, can you tell me why it wouldnt work!

just purchased a set of 500e wheels, planning on putting them on my 300e and lowering with eibachs, I saw a 400e at a loccal mb shop, lowered with 500 wheels, will this setup work with my car, thanks!

just finished valve job on my 92 300e, now there is a noise on the right side of the motor, sounds like an exhaust leak, I'm guessing valve train noise, used a mechanics stethoscope to pinpoint...
