Do you have door lock knobs...not sure of the...

Do you have door lock knobs...not sure of the techinal term, i need 2 new ones, also...the left headlight lamp lens cover...again...have no idea what it's called, mine is faded....

All the vaccum hoses replaced, the thermostate...

All the vaccum hoses replaced, the thermostate checked or vis. clutch replaced, car heats up don't think aux fans are kicking on in traffic...cools right down when not in traffic......

On the Oil question, if no sign of leak, no oil...

On the Oil question, if no sign of leak, no oil anywhere under the car, I have done the newspaper test under the car, etc....

Could it be maybe b/c the engine is running hot b/c of the thermo or...

I purchased a 300E 1987 w/ 96k on it, I love it, but a few things.

First
the idle is slightly bumpy, I ran it by a european mechanic he said
something about a vaccum hose replacement.
