Question ASR Computer - fact or fiction?

1995 SL 500 with no "check engine" light coming on. Engine runs very poor - the code recorded came from the ASR. Is there a way to check the ASR before starting to look for one through Wrecking...

1995 SL 500 - all the electrical and harnesses are in good shape and functioning. Plugs, wires , cap all O.K. Fuel filter and pressure is good. Car starts and idles rough - when pressed will choke...

Question Digital thermometer - where to get one?
