400E used same tire size. You can use 225/50/16 (like me) if you have the CORRECT wheel (authentic MB 16" x 7J Euro 400E wheel).

They all will work fine, but look weird since they weren't designed for the car. If you don't want your car to look odd, stick with W124 wheels for W124 cars and W210 wheels for W210 cars and so on.
