hi everyone,

Cant afford to buy a new Merc..so I was thinking of rebuilding my ol' 92 400e.

At present it is still a daily driver but at 220km it is starting to give me problems.

its a 92 400e with about 220 thou Km on it. The tranny is getting soft as well.

EA an MAS cleaning

:( thanks for the info...well I tryed to take the MAS off and what a #@$^!! I couldnt budge it off its rubber gasket. Even with everything lossened off or removed. So with out actually damaging it...

What tool is used for pulling codes off the 92 400e/420e. Is it an OBE2 or OBE1 or something competely different?

Red face spark plugs....first thing to check!!!

so...I had stumbling loss of power...erratic rpm at idle...again thanks for all the good ideas where to start and look.

You cant see the plugs I pulled ... but they were poor condition no wonder I...

thanks guys for the prompt replies...as for me using the term "serviced" what I meant was regular maintence items..fluid changes, replace filters, up to and including an overhaul.

well everyone i have bought my shiny prevoiusly enjoyed 92 400E. Goes like a jet on the highway...almost too fast...anyways.
I'm drivin from my home and the oil gauge starts on a downward trend to 0...
