Oh, btw, my E550 is perfect in everyway. I think the factory has all the problems fixed. It's a great ride, good gas milage, nothing falling apart. Beautiful in all respects.

10 year old C280. Never changed fuel filter. 30 year old Chevy, never changed fuel filter. I don't think MB's need much attention. Of course change oil/filter every 6k miles. Car seems to work fine....

FYI. The older C class was never known for quality or anything that would improve the MB name. There were a lot of problems with this car as the "bean counters" seemed to be in control of the firm....

If you want to change oil yourself, you have to have a suction pump and remove "most" of the oil this way from the top of the engine. If the dealer does this, they will remove "most" of the old oil...

Did I miss something? I never changed the trans fluid in my '(97 ) C280, 100K miles and the trans worked fine. Think of it. Most trans changes only remove about 25 to 39% of the initial OE fluid....
