I swapped the cam timing 180d just in case but nothing, the pressue gauge doesn't move, not even a little bit......

190e 2.5 16v - i stripped the front of the engine down to replace broken lower guide rail - all sorted, now started the rebuild.

the fuel pump has never made any noticable noises.....it hums a bit when you turn the key to the on position to prime the fuel system but once started...
