I don't want low profile tires...I do want to change to bigger rims (18") A 245/45/18 is 1" shorter than my
stock tire. Causeing tire to fender...

I have painted mine black. I have seen black surrounds on a newer E class from the factory. Never seen it on a W 140.

Are you saying that you have seen black trim on a w140 ?
A factory item?
I have painted mine black but it needs to be re-done.
I would like to have anodised ones instead.
