Just remember never to use it in a lock cylinder...

Just remember never to use it in a lock cylinder – it may fix the problem temporarily but it actually will cause dirt to accumulate. Use graphite instead.

The wire is probably broken in the door hinge area (where it flexes) -- you should be able to replace the section from the speaker to a few inches inside the car.

Assuming it was 100% prior to shipping - without the locks, some of the innerds get bounced around in transit and could have been knocked out of alignment.
