Have an "85 380 SL that is having trouble starting. Mechanic believes problem is transistor ignition unit and/or fuel pump relay. He says one of these could cause other to go bad and vice versa. ...

Turn signal flashers do not work on either side. Have already checked bulbs and fuses. Any idea on problem?
